    Description

The LBO-5860A is an NTSC Standard Definition waveform monitor that provides a precision ?oscilloscope type? display of composite video television signals. Its major uses include the monitoring and measurement of signal amplitudes of the both the whole and specific parts of the video signal, inspection of horizontal and vertical synchronization pulses, time-base measurements and measurement of amplitude and transient distortion within the NTSC video signal. Differential gain measurements are also possible. The unit provides for comparing input video signals with that of an external synchronization source for system timing calibration.
This waveform monitor is in excellent condition. The display is bright and well focused providing for an accurate measurement on the display. It has been fully checked out and recently calibrated. All switches and push buttons function as expected. All of the graticule lamps light up. This waveform monitor was only used only on a random basis and as such has accumulated relatively few hours of use. It was used in a clean environment. The outside case has very few scratches or signs of wear.
    Features:
Recently calibrated for accurate display of the video signal?s vertical amplitude and horizontal time readings. Illuminated internal graticule for paralax-free observation.
Display graticule is calibrated in both IRE units (left) and percentage of modulation (right).
Two Loop-through inputs for channel A or B for phase and amplitude matching purposes.
Provision for external sync with loop-through connections for the sync feed.
Flat, IRE and chroma/differential-gain filters (front panel switch selectable) for linearity checks and measurement of differential gain.
Push button selection of 2H, 1µS/div, 2V Mag and 2V time bases.
DC restorer on/off. Clamps accurately to back porch of H sync.
Line selection for display of lines 14 to 21 of field 1 or 2 provided to observe signals inserted into the Vertical blanking interval.
TTL strobe output to key the companion Leader LVS-5850 Vectorscope for vector display of the selected line in the vertical interval.
Video-out jack provides a buffered video output feed of selected signal under observation.
Provision for external connections to alter the time base to provide RGB or YRGB display.
